Do you know Miguelito?

Published originally at NY Daily News

Move over, Justin Bieber - Miguelito is all grown up and ready to become the next teen idol. Miguelito, who became a singing sensation in his native Puerto Rico at just 7 years old, is about to release his eighth album, "Here To Stay" - his first English-language CD.

"The new projetct is really different so fans will be amazed, he says. "My last seven albums were more merengue, bachata, reggaeton and salsa. But on this new album we're going to have more party songs, starting with the first single, 'Swaggin'."

Miguelito proved he had swag even as a baby-face youngster. He's the youngest person to win a Latin Grammy - at the tender age of nine - for Best Latin Children's Album in 2008. "When I started singing, one of my first goals was to win a Grammy", says Miguelito, whose real name is Miguel A. Valenzuela Morales. "That's the best award you can get in the music business. So when I won, it only made me realize that I have to keep on working more and more."

You can listen to his most recent single, Suga Suga, next:

Miguelito will broadcast live at Hot Hits on Wed, May 28 at 2pm EST. I wouldn't miss it if I were in your shoes!

Pitbull, Jennifer Lopez and Claudia Leitte release 'We Are One', music video for FIFA World Cup 2014

Like Simba and his daughter Kiara sang in The Lion King 2 'We Are One', now, for 2014 FIFA World Cup, Pitbull, Jennifer Lopez and Claudia Leitte are expressing a similar sentiment. Yesterday (May 16), the Latin-flavored trio released an official music video for their Brazilian World Cup anthem 'We Are One (Ole Ola)'.

The official music video keeps to a single premise: Pitbull, JLo and Leitte party and perform in the colorful streets of Brazil while dozens (if not hundreds) of Carnival-ready people swarm around them and dance. Of course, in the spirit of soccer/football for the World Cup, there's also plenty of footage of old sportsball matches cut into the music video.

The three musicians don't really seem to share any screen time all together in 'We Are One'. It's more like 'we are two separate groups with one single'. Pitbull performs not just with the Carnival dancers but also in front of a wall for much of his rapping parts. Meanwhile, the two ladies, Lopez and Leitte, have their own little Carnival group, this time complete with lots of short dresses and booty-bouncing dancing from the chanteuses.

I think the three may come together for like 3 seconds during the middle/end? It was hard to tell for sure, the editing in this clip is lightning fast.

In the end, though, like all of Pitbull-driven music, 'We Are One' is harmless fun. It's a spirited ode to the sport of soccer/football and the FIFA's 2014 home base of Brazil, and the music video reflects that, in the most easy-to-digest way possible.
